ACHIEVEMENTS
Successful replacement of both the Landlord’s main incoming low voltage switch panels was achieved over two weekend shutdown periods. Meticulous advanced surveys, logistical planning and off-site testing was key to the successful outcome of this project with emphasis on contingency back-up planning to cover all eventualities. Temporary generator back-up power was introduced to maintain critical services in the building whilst the works took place. The replacement switch panels now provide the property with improved system resilience and modern circuit protection in full compliance with current BS EN standards.
Our Projects team managed a complex replacement of the Landlord’s two independent main incoming low voltage switchpanels for this fully occupied multi-let commercial office building in Reading. Close strategic planning with the Client’s team, Tenants and the DNO was key to ensuring that the works were all completed on time to a tight changeover deadline, thus ensuring normal power to the premises was restored.
The project comprised of our Project Team undertaking the production of a Technical Performance Specification, a JCT Design and Build Contract, competitive tendering of the Works, full tender analysis of submissions, recommendation for Contractor award and full Project Management of the works including witnessing and final snagging.
