It’s almost that time of year again; Red Nose Day is fast approaching and at Focus FM we’re in the charitable spirit with a fun-filled week of fundraising planned. We have come to the conclusion over the years, that baked goods (the good stuff, I’m sure you’ll agree!) have gone down a treat (no pun intended), so it seems only fair to give the people what they want and in return raise money for a great cause. We’re clearly all-rounder’s here.
Red Nose Day, which falls on Friday the 13th March this year, is a great opportunity for everyone to raise money to not only help, but transform the lives of millions of people in the UK and across Africa.
We believe there is nothing better than a little healthy competition to get the team geared up to make some money. Laura Orchard, our most talented baker has set the standards high with a promise of cakes, biscuits and flapjacks. Cupcakes anyone? Over the course of the week a variety of baked goods will be available for purchase at a less than reasonable price of course. We are trying to make money after all!
We look forward to making this yet another successful Focus FM fundraising event, raising more than the £200 rose last year. Stay tuned to see how we got on.
UPDATE - Red Nose Day Success!
Following yet another successful Focus FM fundraiser, we are pleased to announce we raised £256.00 for Red Nose Day 2015.
Our efforts along with others throughout the UK have helped raise a staggering £78,082,988 and counting. This will help fund multiple projects changing the lives of people in the UK and across Africa.
Our bake sale welcomed a variety of cakes, brownies and biscuits. As promised, Laura pulled out all the stops with an enviable chocolate and raspberry masterpiece. Elinor surprised us all with delicious brownies baked to perfection and Anthony arrived with a spectacular carrot cake; did someone get a little help? Not to worry, we won’t tell...Oh wait!
There were plenty of outstanding baked creations and goodies made by the Focus FM staff across the divisions and all efforts have been recognised, congratulated and consumed. Well Done Focus FM. Until next year.
