Our report enabled the client to ensure rectification works were undertaken in order to reduce unnecessary wear and tear on components, prolong equipment life and improve operational performance.


The lifts had recently been refurbished, but the car door operators had not been included for the four main passenger lifts.

Our work on this property involved performing a one off Survey, following the recent modification works, to provide a solution to the existing door operators.

A cost of £300k was the original estimate to replace all landing doors and operators to the four main passenger lifts. Focus FM was able to get correct information in accordance with the specification required and provide a more realistic cost of £7,000 per lift allowing for the original equipment to be upgraded and keeping the existing glass landing doors whilst maintaining legislative compliance at all times.
